Budde Enterprises Founders Recognized with Volunteer Award
On the evening of August 9, 2016, Bill Budde, the founder of Budde Enterprises, accepted a volunteer award from the Harvey County 4-H on behalf of himself and his late wife, Linda Budde, who passed away on June 5, 2015.
The volunteer award was for outstanding dedication and service to the Harvey County Free Fair and to 4-H. Volunteer activities over the years have included, but are not limited to: assisting in building the first Demolition Derby track, working a food concession stand, helping with the ATV Rodeo, building the swine wash racks and pens and sponsoring the sheep event.
During the presentation, it was expressed that, “This couple has instilled hard work, dedication and a giving attitude in their own children and grandchildren and it shows every year at Fair time. [Bill and Linda’s] involvement in the Fair has been a key to our success. They were and still are instrumental in many events at the Fair and the success of the Fair will continue on, thanks to them!”
Bill was greatly honored by the award and will continue to share in volunteer work each year.
